Ive never done this and I was wondering where to look to see if my corvette has already had a cip installed if not im going to get the hypertech, can anyone tell me where it is.
When you post, you need to give us the year of your car. Things chage from year to year.
On the 1984 thru 1989 the Electronic Control Module is located under the instrument panel on the passenger side. You have to unplug the wires harnes going into the ECM and pull the ECM out to reach the chip. Note that the chip has a notch at one end...take a pictue or make a drawing to indicate EXACTLY how the chip is located.
I would suggest that you go with a custom chip and Dyno. You will be please with this over the Hypertech. I had a Hypertech and it turned out that it was putting too much advance at WOT and pulling fuel at the same time resulting in PING !
Good luck.

Well, of course you have a chip, but like John said, what year car? Pre-1994, you have a non-programable chip. You will need to have a new one burned to match your mods. From 1994-1996, you can reprogram your chip, but I'm not sure that Hypertech is the way to go. Other members should chime in.
