Check with 3 or 4 major companies to obtain competitive quotes.

No one can answer the question of whats the best & who's the least expensive because everyone's situation is different.

BS practice? The statistics CLEARLY illustrate that past financial behavior is one of the most predictive factors of future claims. As with all rating variables, there are exceptions to every rule - but, insurance is about spread of risk and is the law of large numbers. Otherwise, no one could afford insurance. Most states have disallowed using credit for elligibility, but most allow it for pricing.

I know someone will post that they have crappy credit and never had a loss or that they know someone with flawless credit who can't keep a car on the road. Law of large numbers. We all know kids who turn 16 and make it 25 without an accident, but the world is used to youthfuls paying 2 - 3 times more for insurance. Credit in insurance will continue to be a factor and get refined. If the government takes it away from the companies, ALL of our insurance will go up.

Back to the statistics. If I recall, 66%+ of people get no impact or earn an insurance discount from their credit.

Say what you want, but the numbers do not lie. I am in the idustry and bucked the use of credit, but have seen far too many studies by both companies and independent groups. It does work. We may not like it as consumers, but it works.
