Solved the Overheating problem

1990 L98. Finally had a chance to put my head under the hood, kids, weekeds at the beach don't leave allot of "vette time".

Between the radiator and the AC was perfectly clean, and the radiator nice and silver. 30K miles.

The only thing in there, A HOME DEPOT PLASTIC BAG. Dammit, the Home Despot strikes again!!! One more reason those people **** me off.

Anyway, got it out, there's about four leaves stuck on the bottom I'll get to, then it's PERFECT and CLEAN!!!

I am sure with the bag out I'll see a pretty big difference in temp!!

Well, good thing, simple fix.

My cover goes toward the front of the vette when I uncover it...If I don't make sure the cover is well clear of the front of the car it will suck it up in there and drag it out into the driveway with me..pretty powerful fans under there.

Considering the size of the bag, relitive to the size of the radiator, I'm surprised it cooled at all.

Just wanted to say hi to LT4CompYellow on this thread!!!! Unless anything changes this should be the last overheating post from me!!!

As to overheating, some people should talk...

As to the bag thing, I am glad it was such an easy fix, and cheap, too.

I have heard of (so let's all be careful out there) that sometimes these damned plastic bags can get wrapped around intakes as well. Fortuantely, not past the filter, but not good when that happens.
