I have no idea what I would need to lower my car, but would very much like to do so. Have a '94 auto with stock size tire sizes, but may want to upgrade the front tires to 275/40s in the future.
1. What parts are necessary?
2. Any particular brands for the parts?
3. Cost (range) for each part.
4. Approx how many hours for an install?
5. Any issues to beware of?
Any guidance is much appreciated - just chip away at the questions and I should be able to get it sorted out!
Your biggest expense is going to be the front end. They have to drop one side of the suspension, pull the spring, and remove/shave the rubber pads. Whatever your local labor rate is, is going to be the deciding factor. The rear end is a non-issue. It takes longer to take the wheels off, and put them back on, than it does to change the spring bolts. A 4 wheel alignment is a must, after the job is completed.

Thanks. How many hours do you think it would take for the front end? I'll make run a couple assumptions at different hourly rates from there.

See www.mamotorworks.com for an idea of what is required and the cost of the hardware. Figure 3 hours for a shop to perform the work, about three days for you to do it.
