OK she is a 1994 auto with 57000 on her. She is a convert triple black. The interior has wear on the drivers seat the passengers, floors, door panels look good. The center consul as some wear as if the paint or plastic cover had pealed off only a little area. The car does not have the sport package. The change oil light was on. the top looks good but she needs tires.
The body was not as clean as I would of though a corvette with 57000 would be. There were several scratches on the back deck. The rear bumper had a pressure crack. the drivers door had a square mark on it about the size of a cell phone this paint area was cracked. the passengers side front bumper has a little bit of whie on it as if someone rubbed agaist a garage or something. The hood looked good. All the little rock chips were touched up and they did not do a good job because I can see them. It looks as though the pass front bump may of ha some work done to it. The guy say no and the car fax is clean but my eyes tell me small body work. What do you think she is worth?
She drove fine although she would not break the wheels loose from a dead stop. I had to push really hard on the brake peddle It felt firm but heavy like it took stregnth to push it not like a normal car no soft ness hard and firm is that normal?
By the sound of things, I wouldn't pay over $10,000 for it. And it's common for C4 brakes to require a heavy foot to stop. There are threads here that address that issue.

My thoughts, in order of things you mentioned:
1) Some wear at 57k is normal.
2) The center console wear might be because of some aftermarket interior add-on.
3) Only 25% of 1994 convertibles had the Selective Ride and Handling. Remember that the Adjustible Handling Package was not available on convertibles.
4) My Corvette had several unsightly body issues at 49k much like the ones you describe.
5) Remember that a CarFax only shows up if an insurance company gets involved. Small fixes sometimes get done because they are under the deductable or people are afraid that their rates will rise. Is the guy you are dealing with the original owner?

That's pretty normal. They pretty much take off rather than burn the tires. Normal for the brake peddle to feel heavier than most too. That's the way my '87 is anyway. jmo. How much are they asking?
Sounds rough to me... but as was said it's a function of price. I found that there are alot of nice vette's out there (alot more than you might think) then there are dogs too. If you're patient you can find a nice one for a resonable price. As you describe that one, I would not pay more than $9-10K. Keep in mind this time of year prices are dropping. You should be able to find a nice 92-95' with 45-65k miles in the 12 to 14 range, maybe better if your lucky....but I would pass on that one...and I've looked at alot of vette's lately
Yeah...what are they asking? $$$$ < Beat me to the reply.
Buy the time you fix all the things wrong with the car, you'll probably wrap up another $4000 into the car. Tires, seats, paint work. It all add's up. Did you turn off the ASR when trying to burnout?

$12300. I'd pass.

12,300 I don't know if my expictations of what a 94 57000 convet, are to high. I'm pretty **** about car bodies. I didn't see any switch betweenthe seats tgo turn thats were it is right
Sounds like a 9-11K car!
As stated earlier it is fall so many Corvettes are about to go on sale since a lot of owners don't drive them during the winter.
Unless you really like it I'd pass at 12K.
Why do you need help fast? Slow down there are a lot of C4s out there!!!!

I agree with ccmano. We paid $14,000 for our '94 Black Rose Coupe. It was purchased with 22,000 mile on it 2 months ago. Loaded. New Goodyear GS-C's, 2 tiny chip's in the paint. You should look around for a better deal. Hate to see you waste your money.

You guys are the best I was freaking out because I thought it was a good price and it was triple black convertable, but I couldn't get past the marks on her I just felt that for 57000 miles she should be cleaner especially from a 58 year old man.
I'll keep looking if you know many one let me know I 'm in Jersey but will take a ride/plane for the right car.
Good, now you are thinking rationally. I would bet that most of the Vettes in your area get put up for the winter so you should be able to find a deal. Mr. Mojo is from Jersey, maybe he'll post with some info.
