Well today I started the project . She's up on jack stands , oil drained , battery disconnected , time to start wrenching . 87 L-98 coming out , ZZ-4 short block with Edelbrock heads , Super Ram and cam , BBk throttle body and more going in ! Let the fun begin !!!

What a pain some of these brackets are to get off ! Not to mention the exhaust manifold nuts . Can't wait to be done and driving again !
Okay , it's not fun any more ! Now I know why the shop wanted so much to do the swap for me ! WHAT was I thinking ??? I will be able to say I did it myself , with alittle help from my friends ! Almost got the old one out , just hope I can get all that crap back in on the new motor !

Hang in there, it'll get better. Putting all new, clean parts back together will be much better. Do you have all of your little fabs, mods and changes worked out and ready to go? The trials probably are not over yet but it can be done.
