Default Tire\Wheel Ideas

I have this slightly warped wheel. It starts to vibrate at about 95MPH. I know I could limit myself to legal speeds, but I also like to go to the track. So, I am considering ordering a replacement.

Unfortunatley AFS has slightly changed the finish or to be specific, the lip is now polished; not machined, and more of it is. I guess the polished lip begins further inside the wheel than before, approximatley a 1/4 inch from the valve stem. Whereas, my wheel the machined part begins around the corner to the outer most part of the wheel. I guess if I replaced the wheel, the new one wouldn't match and would have a noticeably different polished lip. If I bought one from their competetor "OE" there isn't a polished lip at all.

So, it looks like I may be forced into a completely new set of wheels. I think I might get the polished AFS set and am considering the 17X11's and 17X9.5's on the front. My ccurrent set has the narrow fronts and the 9.5's on the rear. The tires in front are 255's and the rears 285's.

Could I put the 285's I currently have on the new set of 9.5's and use them for the front tires? Will they rub in the turns? Will it handle poorly? I guess my 255's would have to go, and I would need a new set of rear tires.

Is a 315 the best size for the rear. I'm thinking of doing it without adding the fender flares. What is yall's opinion on that?

My current tires are BFG Comp TA's. Do they make them in the 315 size? I bet they will cost an arm and a leg. That will give me BFG's on all four; however I could get a set of wheels and tires from ebay, which come with Sumitumo tires, then I would have 2 sets.

I know this is alot to take in, but I cant decide.

Does anyone want my current setup? That might make it easier.

Depending on how bad your rim is you can likely send it out to be repaired.
There must be a shop in your area that does rim repair and refinishing.
