Default Carpet problems

I have a '89 vette which has some carpet issues. I want to replace it but i dont know who exactly i should look at to buy from. I have looked at places like Ecklers and Mid America and it seems like everyone that i have looked at seems to be around the same ballpark on money. I am looking to see who has carpet that is well made, color matches, and it fits good. If anyone has done this and can offer any help it would be much appreciated.

Did a color change on my '89 coupe. I bought the carpet from Wilcox Corvette. When researching this, I found that the mass backed carpet is the best match to the original.

I would recommend using some of the sound deadening material placed on the flooring.

Good luck,
Dino

Don't know if they make it for '89 but Al Knoch in Texas is supposedly the most faithful reproducer of Corvette interiors. Prices may be way up there, too. I'd suggest call or do a google for their website.

about the sound deadening. I didnt even think about it when I installed my carpet, now I wish I had. Too much work to go back and redo it. I used Wilcox Corvette carpet also, it wasnt a perfect fit, but it was pretty close. Needed a little trimming, which is better than not having enough. IMO get the mass backed, if you're going to be spending the money on the carpet in the first place, do it right.

Good luck,

I did the same thing with my '85. The carpet from Wilcox is actually made by and shipped from Auto Custom Carpet, but it's cheaper through Wilcox.
