Default Another wheel question

O.K. I just want to hear it once and for all because there are so many different opinions on this. What offset works best for the 17x11 rims, 36mm, 50mm or 56mm? I am in a 90 coupe by the way. I dont want them to jet out too far past the lip but dont want them to rub on the inside either. Are there any spacers needed and is it worth the extra $$$. Also has anyone dealt with O.E. Wheels on Ebay, they seem too good to be true, VERY cheap. I'm thinking about buying the ZR-1's if I hear good things from anyone. Thanks and happy motoring!!!

You'll never "hear it once and for all", but here's a link to a current auction that will give you some offset insight.

http://cgi.ebay.com/AFS-88-96-Corvet...QQcmdZViewItem

What will fit your car without spacers is for the front, 17 x 9.5 with 56mm offset(255s to 275s will not rub or stick out). The rears will take 17 x 11 with 50mm offset (285s to 315s will not rub or stick out)
