I took it out to the track for the first time, and was pretty happy. It was a little warm at about 68 deg., and the track wasn't prepped very well. I ran 4 times total throughout the night.
I was pretty happy with the numbers considering my car just clicked 100k, and is bone "paper filter" stock, with pilot sport street tires, not DR's. Good baseline runs.
I'll post up times once I get the Nitto's, LT's, B&B 3", Intake, Del-tec, & 52mm TB on. I can't wait!
Sounds like you had fun. Run 4 looks ok for a bone stock LT4. One thing is for sure, the times will get better with practice.
What do you think a a bone stock LT4 should run? I doubt the 60' will get any better with street tires. MT tested it as 13.3 back in 96, so I figured I was doing better than just "ok". This isn't my first pass at the track, just the first in my vette.
With street tires a 1.9 60' time is possible, which will put you in the 12.8-12.9 @108 MPH range. It just takes practice, but that is certainly not bad for your first time.
Those times sound fine to me. I got a 13.5@105.5/2.2 60ft on my 1st run ever with mine. Now I'm down to 13.03@107 with a 2.0 60 ft. I'm still essentially stock with no mods that really add hp (at 298 rwhp). You could work on the launch and get into the 12's with a sub 2.0 60 ft time, but you have to slip the clutch and have good track prep to get this. Hopefully Il'l get a 12 sec run next time to the track.
