Seems my car is kinda a freak. It only has a powerfx catback, a TPIS filter and a hypertech chip. Car ran a 13.6 (I'm not that great of a driver) @ 106. There was a Vette meet the night I ran the car at the track and most people thought I was sneaking a 50-75 shot or had head or cam work.
Anyway, just curious and if this has been covered before sorry, but I did a search.
Also, the manual shows 315HP, not 300...just curious about this as well.

13.6 is pretty darned quick. Best I have done is 13.4 with a lightly modded 96 LT1 motor. I have only been to the track twice. I could probably get low 13s/high 12s if I could control my right foot a little better and not spin so much at the start.
13.4s pretty good, but what was your trap speed? Usually better drivers can ET better, but the trap speed is usually what shows how much power the car is putting down.

Here ya go. If I could get that reaction time and 60' time down, I'd be rockin! I'm the car on the left racing against a buddies modded C5.

Thanks guys

My one 1989 Coupe w/ automatic - an exhaust and Performance Resource chip, it ran 13.5 @ 105 in the 1/4
Damn dude thats wicked good for a L98! I was talking to some L98 vette guys and they runs mid 13s with a couple bolt ons as well! Lot of them were 89s.
from everythin i have read out of an Lt-1 from 13.5-high 13's should be expected in stock form.... My 94 M6 coupe has beaten my friends 05 A4 GTO with an CAI and my car is bone stock all the way down to the filter, and the 05 GTO is supposed to be a 13.2 quartermile car
Geez, now I think I'm soundin like a blowhard. Most of the guys at the drag night with Lt1s were running about 14 flat and 101-102 trap speed.
I honestly don't think you'll find an A4 GTO running a 13.2, but could be wrong. GMHTP said they couldn't get the Goat to run in the 12s and if Evan Smith can't do it with a 6 speed, I doubt anyone can.
Also, I'm not that good of a driver, so the et is achievable, but most of the stock trap speeds I've seen have been lower. My car with a good driver and good traction should be able to ET in the 12s...
Very nice...I'm guessing you're about right for the mods. I'm planning on pulling the motor around the first of the year and giving all of the seals a freshening and getting the heads, cam and some other work done. I think I'll be looking for some serious gains after the work, but definetely happy with the car for now.

I was just asking because everything I have seen on C4 LT1s was 300 hp 340 lb ft with the exception of the 1992 models they had 300hp 330 lb ft.

No, actually the owner's manual for the car shows a 315HP rating for the car...it's really weird, specially since chevy didn't claim those ratings for the car. I don't have my printer with me or I'd scan the image if I could.

I believe you!
I just wondered which manual had the bum info. I think it is neat to find information that is AFU. I have even found bum gouge in (HELMS manual) thats right the HOLY BIBLE of Corvette minutia has misinformation.
Mike
Actually I was wondering if the 92s were actually a little stronger thus the manual shows the 315 HP rating...maybe if some other 92 guys could chime in or maybe a just a typo??
And gotta thro a plug in for this site...everyone seems so laid back and open to new ideas and not a bunch of over zealous pri#$s...

That is what Motor trend quoted 13.33 @ 107 for a 6 speed
LS2 6 speed. However, basically same time as my car...again, the LS1 Camaros would kill us and the Goat seems the equal. Remember the car weighs over 4K so the times are close...
