have you done anything to really set ur interior apart from other stock vetts? expecially on late model C4s? anything from aftermarket lights, video screens, speakers, subs, amps, computers, dash mods, guages, Apillars, ect ect ect
well,... POST UR PICS!
i want some ideas on how other guys (and girls) in the vett community are modifying the inside of their C4s!
There is a really nice double-din 6.5" LCD touch-screen head unit I want to add made by Kenwood. A couple people here have installed it and it looks great! Once my budget allows that's one of the next things I plan on doing.
I had the seats completely recovered. The door panels and kick panels where painted with the same silver as the exterior, but a vinyl "flex agent" was added to the paint (I had a shop do it so I'm not 100% sure on what they used though). The plastic pieces were stripped and repainted like the door and kick panels...stripping those parts was the most difficult part!!
looks amazing! its a little hard to tell from the light in the pics but im assuming that im correct in guessing thats a shade of silver identical to the outside? looks sharp! what kind of shifter is that? B&M or hurst? looks pretty low?

keep them coming guys!
Thanks! Yep it's the same silver inside and outside. That's a B&M shifter, it's a LOT lower than the stock boat ore that the car comes with. The Hurst shifter wasn't out when I bought this one, but after seeing one I (but not driving one) think I'd still go witht he B&M, I like extremely short positive feeling shifts and the B&M delivers that perfectly.
any way you can find out what they added? Was it standard exterior paint?
The interior and exterior paint used is from House of Kolor, and I know the agent they added was from them as well. If you can get one of their reps on the phone they should be able to tell you very easily...if I remember right it was specifically meant for painting vinyl type surfaces. I don't keep in contact with the shop that did the work any more though for various reasons...

Looks really good. I have been thinking about the same thing, painting the counsel and some of the dash body color. My 95' counsel is covered with some rubber? like material. How did you stripped yours?

Paint stripper and a LOT of sweat!! You may be able to have it media blasted off, but I didn't want to have to buy any new parts in case it was a little too harsh on the plastic, and the mounting points are VERY fragile!
There used to be a web site, www.houseofkolor.com. HOK was bought by a larger company, PPG I think. Do a web search. Also check out www.spraygundepot.com. Great site and they should have a link to HOK
Also, check out SEM paints, I just bought some black semigloss with the flex additive in a spray can from a local paint supply shop.
