I bet the Chevy dealer quoted the owner a doozy of a repair price hence the sale. Makes ya wonder what they really found and why they quit or gave up. If all the the mechanics and electronics were in action when it submerged then it'll naturallly be worse off than just a car that was flooded sitting still. Even so, I wouldn't mind having a go at it.
I'm surprised Conte's agreed to sell it - they usually try and only sell very nice to perfect cars. It has met reserve already (at $9,100), so (barring funny business) this transaction is going to happen...
Wait wait what we are all missing is the fact CORVETTE: A small warship used by the Royal Canadian Navy primarily in the North Atlantic in anti-submarine warfare. The Corvette was originially of French design, it was adopted by the British navy as it was "fast and weatherly."
So its not really that the driver lost control he was just bringing it closer to the nameplates roots.
