Default Everything but the kitchen sink......

The only thing I'll probably leave to the pros is something that I don't have the proper equipment to do myself, such as machining a block or setting up a rear end, and maybe shooting paint, although I'd tackle prepping a car for paint myself if I had to. Oh yeah, alignments also. I normally would have voted for the "Everything but tranny work", but I can't say that now

I do as much as I can. If it's electrical, however, I can half diagnose the problem but rarely have the right tools/knowledge to fix it right.

If I had the right tools and a consistent helper, I could probably do my own clutch work, no problem. But the ZF is a lot heavier than my old Muncie ever was!

I am an old gear head from way back, have almost all the tools I will ever need including air tools and there are some things I won't attempt to do but the best tool of all is all the great people on this forum, when a problem arisis on my 89 vert usually someone on the forum has had it before and you can get with them and usually see what is wrong,

I use to take the major stuff to the mechanics. It's pot luck. Sometime good mechanic, sometimes bad mechanic. The bad mechanics have screwed up my RX-7 bigtime. I have fixed most of it. I now have three cars and I do all the work on all of them.
