I never tire of the impressions and excitement of a new C4 owner. After 3 years, I still feel the same way. I only have ex-wives but damn I'd miss the Vette if it was gone! 
If you decide to do the timing set, consider a Cloyes double roller. Much better durability than any stock replacement. Stock chains begin stretching almost immediately.
