A/C still have a charge? Std. Opti question. Any maintenance records? Look underneath the motor... Any signs of drips? If so most likely the intake leaking. Selective ride control, neat system 13 years are the shocks original?
Whats the asking price? I paid $14K and mine had 33K on it back in 02.

I got a good deal on mine (wz my fathers).... At the time, the dealer was offering $12K as a trade in. Book was showing $15-16 at that time.
Latest Corvette Magazine shows a 40th (Ruby) to be around 13-16 (if memory serves me correctly, I'm at work). I think this is a little high considering C4's have been dropping in value lately.

I'm thinking no more the $13K for the one your looking at. A few members here might find that to be generous.

If you want, when I go home I'll look up the mag and let you know the $$$ they were quoting.

Default Ruby value

Bought my pretty mint 63K mile Ruby 6 spd with both tops in 6/05 for $11K. Had some minor mechanical issues when I bought it requiring attention, high idle (vacuum leak, misadjusted minimum air). Also had oil leaks that I'm still working on. Water pump drive seal, opti drive seal and front crank seals leak. Just a note, EVERY LT-1 I checked before buying leaked somewhere. Check all interior switches and accessories such as bolster switch, lumbar switches, pump and bladder, window switches. Many of these are no longer available. Good luck.

I bought my Ruby six speed last August for $14,000. He was asking $15,000. It had 36,000 miles on the clock and has every option except the plexi top. The only things wrong with it were both seat bladders didn't work, and the CD player didn't work. Both are common problems. It also needed a brake booster and a right front hub but that's about it. It sounds like a pretty good deal, try knocking the price down another grand. Good luck.
