Punks on CF
I continually find it amazing how vette punks will continually shoot themselves in the foot by shouting down the values of other vettes. This only serves to lower the value of the vette they are shouting down--and that is the sole reason for the criticism: Jealousy and the exploitation of their perfect cars.
Look--this is not rocket science:
1. Punk kids' *********--I mean opinions--are flying back and forth around here based upon absolutely nothing--they haven't even seen the car in person--and evidently cannot perform simple math!
2. Simple math:
a. A crapped-out 20-footer is worth 3-5.
b. Add 5 for the restoration parts I purchased and installed.
c. Add 3 for a good paint job.
d. Add another 1-2 to start the bartering high enough that I don't undercut MYSELF!
e. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that adds up to a safe starting price (before getting talked down into a deal) of $15,000.
Nada values an '84, 20-footer at $15,000-$22,000. *This is a crapped-out, 22-year-old, high-mileage 20-footer! HELLO!
3. The REALLY amazingly stupid stuff that's going around here is that someone would actually undercut THEMSELVES by starting the bartering lower than this! --But that seems to be the punk consensus here on CF...which continues to leave the impression with me that there are a whole lot of stupid punks on CF. --Hey--it's not MY fault that stupid, unwise punks keep making these posts, reaffirming my inevitable conclusion!!
I have also received a LOT of email and personal messages here affirming my deductions that support my 'this ain't rocket science' common sense conclusions.
Punks are stupid--I know, I know--the truth hurts. Get use to it or wise up.
Nuff said.
So, now it's YOUR turn--fire away, punks!
Let's hear how stupid, unwise and childish you can be...who's first--step right up and tell us how crazy it is to try to get top dollar, in an honest manner (by the way!) for a car you're selling.
Tell us how no one will buy an '84 for $15,000. You're all brainiacs!

If you honestly think an 84 is worth $15k then ask that for a price, but the fact is you can buy a 94-96 for under that price all day long with better options, better condition, and better technology.
AND it is common sense that EVERY car depreciates before they hit a point where the value starts coming back up... 4 years ago a 3rd gen Trans Am in GREAT shape could be had for $4000... now you'd be hard pressed to find one outside of the 5 digit range in GOOD shape. I mean "DUH"... who's the rocket scientist again?

Secondly, we ALL here at CF seem to have a clue about our cars, more so then you so it would seem that you are the dumbazz that doesn't get it... enjoy banned camp

Here's an idea, post up the receipt when you do sell it for $15,000.
