Production Oddity?
I received my replica window sticker and build sheet from the Corvette museum about two weeks ago. The accompanying letter stated that this car had been built for a specifice purpose or buyer.
The car is equipped with cloth STANDARD seats. All of my research (so far) indicates the the SPORT seats came standard from 1986 on. These appear to be original (and feel it!). I was thinking of switching to leather, but not if this is a rare occurance. Any info. that I'm missing here?

From: St. Peters MO Sometimes you have to prove yourself by doing alot of killing or alot of dying...
not sure about your specific situation... but there are alot of cars that are offered with standard leather as part of a package or due to the class of car, but it can be ordered with cloth. I'm interested to hear the outcome of this

My 90 came with cloth seats
My 90 6 spd Z-51 was delivered with cloth non power seats and no Bose. It was ordered as an AutoX car only with only one option, Z-51 handling package. It also came with the ZR-1 tinted windshield. Must have been built on a Monday morning by a hung over build team.

Left side of screen, select the option "Build Sheets".
Then just follow the instructions from there. You will need your car's VIN number and a credit card

The car is dark red metalic and the previous owner said he ordered it with black leather (witch the car has) according to him dark red did not come with black interior unless ordered that way
So my thinking is that is why I got the letter stating built for special purpose!
Maybe something different was ordered on your car

I also have a build sheet and window sticker for my 89 coupe and it did not come with that one so they are not sent out with every car!

Hmm....that's kinda interesting. Mine was ordered with the silver metallic paint, medium grey interior with a 15C seat code (medium grey cloth), but there was a separate line on the build sheet specifying Graphit cloth buckets.
