When I started to remove the old carpet on my '87, I noticed bare wires leading to the light in the console glove box. Well, when I removed the tunnel carpet there it was, a mouse nest with 2 baby mice in it! I paniced! Hummed the nest and babies out side and placed 8 baited traps in and around the car, you know the sticky type and last night I caught one of the little B@%$&*'s. Don't know if it was mamma or pappa, but it ended up in the trash. I figure there is at least one more to catch (hopefully). This is a car I've been working on for a while including a new base/clear coat of black. Never knew I had a mouse problem, it's a garage for gods sake-what are they eating??--hope not the harness!!. Under cover next to my Vette is my FFR Cobra (last years project). Needless to say I don't sleep very well at night knowing some little mouse might be munching on something. Any ideas?

Since mice don't form pair-bonds, the one you caught is undoubtedly the female/mother mouse. Daddy mouse is off impregnating other females, and you won't be catching him any time soon.
My idea? Keep a bullsnake in the car.
Dang little felons. Bull smake might be just tad bit awkward. I have heard that drier anti-cling sheets and mothballs keep mice away. Might want to spread few of them around inside and around engine compartment as well.
