engine missing

Default engine missing

i just replaced the plugs, wires, dist cap and rotor on my 87 coupe. it still has a miss. first time workin on engines myself. any ideas what i need to check next? the car is a stock L98.

check your vacume lines for cracks and breaks, also check for leaky injectors, check plug wires installed correctly and seated on the plugs, add into that that you connected the tac connector and the plugs are seated into the distributor cap.

i don't know much about the 87 engines, if the distributor is still an adjustable dist like an earlier engine then i would say perhaps a timing light would clear up the situation. maybe it got loose and threw off the timing.

I had a plugged injector on my 85 that produced a miss. First need to determine which cylinder is the problem. You can use a squirt bottle to squirt water onto the exhaust to see which hole isn't working and then you can go from there in your troubleshooting.
