My exhaust is my favorite. As for my bose, my vette has 80,000 miles on it and it sounds good to me. My step-father has a '94 with 120,000 miles on it and his works fine too. I guess we are lucky. Tommorrow mine will probably go out. KNOCK ON WOOD!
looks like you guys got most of what I missed. cant believe I forgot the Eagles and Scorpions my bad Skid's "18 and life to go" is awsome. seager and metallica's Turn the page.
Deep Purple
Foreigner
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Cream
God Smack
Just got back from a Disturbed Concert, theyre alright.
Saw Godsmack play before Metallica and they blew me away with their rotating Drum sets with the drummer and singer battling it out. They had like 50 different bongos on this one kit. it was intense. "Voodoo" is awsome.
Of course all the guitar gods that have inspired my playing: Satriani, Toni Iommi, Jason Becker, Eddie Van Halen, ect.
Love my Bose -- I guess I'm lucky -- but I'm also half deaf from too many Who and Springsteen concerts.
Anyway, I like how our '80's car (yeah, even the LT1's, really) draws a lotta 80's music fans. But, I probably should drive a C3 because my favorite for long cruises are the old jam bands -- Dead and Allman Bros, and the Prog Rock types -- Yes, early Genesis, Tull, and lately I've been listening to Renaissance.
But, I must agree when you want to put your foot into it AC/DC and Metallica rule.
There are times when you just don't feel like getting caught up in the lyrics.... Check Out .... Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, Steve Morse...... CAUTION: Adrenelin Rush may lead to Excessive Speeding Tickets! .....In The Mean Time.... Fasten your Safety Belts, Pop in the CD and Prepare for Liftoff! ENJOY!

I get sick of seeing the Bose system trashed. It's the best sound system I've ever had in a car including aftermarket. Now maybe if you're one of those who wants to go down the road thumping like an idiot, it's not enough, I don't know.
As far as music, I'm liable to listen to anything from Bill Monroe to Duke Ellington. But when I go on a road trip, no matter what else is on board, it's essential that I have my complete Steely Dan collection along.
You obviously haven't had a good aftermarket system. I don't "thump" going down the road either but my Sony-Clarion-Sony-Pioneer system will smash the stock JUNK Bloise system out of the water for clarity & volume so you can actually hear the music with the top down at highway speeds.
For a stock system Bloise isn't bad, when it works, but don't even try to compare it to aftermarket. That is seriously ignorant.
I've got an aftermarket Pioneer system in my Buick, yes its better than stock, but I dont it sounds nearly as good as the stock Bose system in my Vette. Only one of my speakers doesnt work, but it still sounds great (just wish I had a CD player instead of crappy cassettes).
Still have stock sound system in my 94 and it actually sounds pretty darned good. No complaints except that someone replaced the stock CD player with a stock cassette somewhere along the line. RPO codes are your friend!!
I bought an FM broadcaster for my MP3 player and that works great instead of shelling out the cash for a CD player. too many other goodies I want before that.
