Default What does this date mean?

I found a date etched into my car on the body to the right of my gas cap under the fuel lid bracket. I am curious if this date means anything.
it says 5-11-86-1 ( or 4-11-86-1, I forget now). I'm guessing the 5-11-86 is the date my car body was installed or the date the build was finished but what does the 1 represent? Just curious, thanks.

Interesting,
I was hoping it was something more exciting.
Do you think I'm correct about the date. Would it be the date the car was finished?

Thanks for the info.

It's the combination to some guy at Bowling Green locker. He wrote it there so he wouldn't forget it before the break.

You can buy the build sheet from the Corvette Museum, which provides an approximate build date and the details of your vette's build info.

I keep thinking about doing that. If the car was super low mileage I would get it but there is not much point now that the car is up around 100K miles.
Thanks

I recently got the original dealership sticker and build sheet from the Corvette Museum, Bowling Green,KY. I ordered them laminated which came to $85..a little steep....but to me well worth it....I found it fascinating to see the original history of my 87.

I may get it but I just bought a new house and moved in this past weekend. Home depot gets all my exrta money for the next little while.
