Default Sound Deadener

Im just about to replace the carpet in my 90 and have been reading alot of sound deadener material. Some people say its great and some dont notice a difference. Is it worth the extra money and time? If so what is a good kind to use? Thanks!

Make sure you don't get one that has asphalt as a ingredient or it will stink when it gets hot outside

Is a forum member. He makes kits for c5's, and just starting making them for our cars. Check the c5 sites, and also the audio site. I would like to know how your install works out, I have a 90 and I am planning to redo my rugs later in the year.

I used B-Quiet deadener from a canadian selling on ebay.
50 square feet did the back and doors with a little left over.

Crazy Cowboy (exotic vettes) a vendor on the CF makes a kit that looks about like this...

..and supplies a few pieces so that you can do the tunnel if you want...

Some of the cheaper stuff smells like tar, if it smells like tar don't use it, send it back.

I put 2 layers of Dynomat under my rear carpet: Don't expect complete sound-proof, but it will take the sting out of loud mufflers.
