What to do? I need to replace the center console lid but the RPO codes would be lost. They are on a sticker under the lid! I feel like they are really important. Advise please...
I was able to remove mine with no problem. It just took a long time and a lot of patience. I also did a friends Vette across the street. Very very carefully start to peel it from one corner. Slowly and methodically work the label free. Always pull from the point of attachment not from the part you have worked free. In other words work close to the point of adhesion.
Once off the label retains it's sticky so you can apply it right to the new one. I'd have to pull my old one out of the closet but there was one other label under the console lid that I could not remove. It had a metalic type GM label and it wasn't coming off. The RPO label is different.

with the exception of Mojo's advice, I would never try any of the others - no need to!
Get your new lid and change the inner plastic panel over to the new lid - done deal, problem solved. There are about 10 screws to remove & replace in the process...
