Default Tail Light Seals?

Ok guys, need some help from the C4 crowd. We have been making tail light seals for both the C5 and C6. We would like to include the C4 but have heard that the C4 is the only Vette that actually has seals installed from the factory. Can someone please check their C4 and tell me if there is a seal between the tail light and the body?

For more info on what I am talking about look here...

Thanks all,

Jim

I have had 86 and 87 C4s. No seals on them. Body change came in 91. Maybe they started then.

I just put the seals in my 98, and much better. On the 85, and this is from memory, and since I can't remember what day next month the gf's birthday is, there is a good chance it is wrong. The one thing I see is that the older style c4's at least, bolt in different, and the opening seems to be tapered. So as you tighten them down they suck into the opening, where the c5's bolt from the outside, and are not quite as tapered in the opening, and not sealing around the edges. Also i might add, that I have no real drip from the 85, and I will be damned if I am going to take them out to put seals around them as hard as they are to get to. I did the 98 in a few minutes, the 85 would take much much longer, with cussing, scratches, two people, and god knows how many beers. With the body change, in 91, it might be worth the effort.
