Default drip drip drip

i have a fairly good oil leak coming out of the front of the engine somewhere, i have oil dripping off of the cross bar, i can't see anything up past that bar, would anyone have an idea of where i should even look for the main cause?

Well... the best thing to do would be to pressure wash all of teh leaking oil off of your engine... Then put some dye in the crankcase and use an ultraviolet light to find out exactly where it's coming from.

Short of that... your cross bar obviously isn't leaking So see if you can determine where the oil is coming from that is getting on that. It's gotta come from higher up... My guess is porbably valve covers... but the dye is the best way.

Do not pressure wash your engine unless you enjoy replacing the opti. If you're going to clean off the oil use a product like Simple Green and lots of rags.

Those leaks can be deceptive. Check your steering rack, pump and PS lines, too, especially around the fittings.

I guess that's the first thing to ask; what kind of oil? Engine oil or PS fluid.

Go to a napa store and tell them you want some uv dye for motor oil.
But you have to have a uv light to see it.
