Nice Butt
My girlfriend was telling me the other day how much she doesn't like the rear end of the C5,its too big and overwellming.She said she likes the way the back of my 93 coupe looks with the exhaust at each side and the tires look really fat,the whole design is very sleek she says.
The tire note is very interesting because even though the C5s wheels are bigger C4s do look fatter.
Then I told her my vette likes her rear end too.

When the 97 came out I went to the dealer where I bought my 95 coupe looking to trade it in on a C-5. When my wife saw the C-5 the first thing she said to me is " you're kidding aren't you?" "You're not going to get rid of our car for that big butt old folks car are you." Thinking that that was exactly what I was about she started to cry. That is how we ended up with a 96' LT-4 vert that was still sitting side by side with the C-5.
In all fairness over the years we have both softened to the looks of the C-5, and I like their looks and stance from the front.

I have had an LT-4 and a C5 Z06.
If not for the FRC design in C5, the HP of the Z06, I would still be in my C4. In other words, I find the C4 coupe better looking than a C5 coupe. But the C5 Z is a better looking car than the C4 - to me.

well put. like both our LT4 nad 02 vert. but for different reasons.

The funny thing about C5s is that sometimes I really like the looks of the car, and sometime not so much.
My C4 on the other hand, looks cool from every angle at all times.

the best part of a C5 i can think of is to push one off the edge of a giant cliffway, watching it shrink in size until a tiny pin head sized explosion is seen way down there at the end.
my disdain for the body styling has grown only more intense ever since '97. its the only one C series i dislike.......by a landslide (pun intended). in fact, i think they're so bad that i analagize the C5 to some of those corvette kit-car abominations we see on ebay from time to time.

When I saw my first C5 I did not like the look of the car, especially the rear end. But over time I have grown to accept it. I now have the same problem with the C6 and I have yet to like it looks. Back when the C4 first came out I did not feel that way, liked it from the start and still do. I feel the same way about Camaro's I like the looks of the Gen 3 (82-94) over the Gen 4 and would not mind having an LT1 94.
