Peeling Paint??/help!
Has anyone had that paint-like substance PEEL AWAY around the outer
edge of their removable top? What is this stuff anyway? HOW CAN I FIX

My 94 (which I just sold) had the same issue. I carefully msaked off everything other then the edge piece in question, sanded it with fine sand paper then gave it several coats of satin black from a spray can. Came out great. Easy project....
