Default half a loaf

Will be adding keyless entry to my 89 soon, and as long as i have the dash all apart, I was thinking about ditching the "loaf". How is the quality of the "flat panel" replacement that Mid-America sells?

The kit from Ecklers is the one I used in my 88 red coupe; believe it is the same as MA. Be prepared to use some double stick foam tape to hold everything in place and prevent the flat panel from moving. It is much easier to install with the dash cover out. Also, I added the word "Corvette" to the flat panel. IMHO, it looks better without all that black, blank open space.

I have a picture if you wish. Send me an e-mail.
