I see alot of people posting that they get close to 19-25 miles per gallon in their mid 90 C4's. I have a 95' C4/LT1 as many of you know already with alot of mods 425hp (app.) and all performance exhaust and all that good stuff I dont feel like listing and I only get on average of about 14-18 I believe. I get about 240miles to a full tank
Pretty modest driver, no racing, accellerate to 70 rather quick on highway but highway is pretty infrequent event Usually city roads. Usually try to keep it at around 2k rpm if possible
My 93 Auto gets 20 to 22 MPG. I drive mostly highways to work at around 65 to 70MPH. I try not to hot rod it too much? The car is stock as far as I know.
My 93 auto is all stock and i run around 15-18 mpg mostly city driving. I try to go easy on her most of the time but every so often i get on it pretty hard.
On the highway, my modded 92 LT1 gets 23-24 mpg at a steady 72 mph. In mixed city-highway driving, much of which is 'spirited' driving, I get about 16 mpg. However, SPM much more important than MPG. That's Smiles per Mile.
Completely stock, except for the catless exhaust....24 in town and 29-31 highway, running 70-75 using the cruise and A/C off......but then, I'm a VERY conservative driver.
Spirited is normal for me. My two drivng styles are 'spirited' and 'hold on to yer azz!'
I have to add another style of driving, "Very Conservative Highway." .... I drove up to Austin yesterday, and I made it a point to drive at the specified speed limit, with practically no passing of any other vehicles, no fast acceleration, just easy on the throttle, and staying at 68-72 mph.
well, when i did that I averaged 31.3 mpg!! (even hit 32.2 for a little whille) I didn't realize my car could get that much. but, then again, I didn't drive my vette the way a vette should be driven.
