The first time I saw a C6 on the road I forgot to wave. I just stared and stared as he passed. My gf asked why I didn't wave. I said something stupid like, "Wave to who?" Hopefully he understood...
Otherwise I always wave. As for the ones who don't wave back and look at me oddly, I hope they realize I won't be the last and learn the tradition!
Side note:
A few months back I was driving along and a nice C5 Z06 got along side of me at a light and tore out of there when it went green. Now I have a stock '95 LT1. Here's my question. Was he showing off (putting me in my place) or just showing what he had to a brother?

He might have been showing off but he clearly is a jackass! I guess I'd better put IMO otherwise someone will get offended.
I always wave! Here I'd say it's about 50% that wave back. I've even gotten waved at from the opposite side of the interstate. I was not expecting someone to wave from so far away!
Last weekend I was in my black c5 and I was turning onto a street. Turning from the street was a blue c4 (not sure on year). This guy could have turned but I am sure he delayed while I turned. He gave me a big wave and a . I returned the wave and . It was a great moment in Corvette ownership.
I also drive a c5 and the first person I waved to was a red c4. I didn't know about the wave until I bought my c4 and joined the forum. Of course ignorance is no reason to be unfriendly.
I went to a car show yesterday and not only did I get waves but when I lifted the hood and had the car running, I had C5 and C6 owners coming up to me all day and gawking at my car, much better than a wave.
But on another good note I went on a cruise with my Club after and evey C5 and C6 that passed me waved. First day I ever got a wave from a C5 or C6 I think and it happend all day long, Maybe it was the nice weather.
Out for a short drive yesterday...passed about a dozen vettes, all wavers but one C5...best wave of all was two very enthusistic waves from much older couple in a red '73 coupe.
i always Save the Wave and pass it on, gotta live a great tradition like that.
I always wave. Infact a 50th anniv. passed me yesterday and blew the horn. both driver and his lady waved. I didn't see them behind me.So I blew my horn and waved back. Save the wave!
