I did the same thing when I painted the body of the calipers when I installed new pads and rotors. Now that it is all clean and if you haven't re-installed them a can of DupliColor clear coat will keep them looking like that.

I painted both my calipers and brackets red. Looks good.
Duplicolor's Caliper Paint Kit is the BEST thing ever. 3 colors of brush on goodness.
It is 100x better than the older spray on crap.
