Hello. I was looking at buying a 1990 Vette 'Vert and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the VIN. Specifically, what rear gear ratio and if it has any special options. Here's the VIN:
From: San Diego , CA Double Yellow DirtBags 1985..Z51..6-speed
Vin will only tell you what engine it has and what year it was made. That vin you put in is no good anyways, it has no letter code for the year. Did you mean to type "1G1YY3386L5114146" ?
Check for an RPO list for the three letter codes. In 1990, it might be under the center console lid.
Yep. It could be an "L" instead of a "1". I'll have to get the RPO codes tomorrow. Do most 'verts have the numerically low rear gears? Do the automatics have less rated power? Thanks, you guys are awesome! Ben
