I was in my local Auto Zone today, and received a bit of a shock! On the shelf were two seats, advertised as "racing seats",black,w/ tracks, adj. back rest, for $139 plus tax, each! These were "damn' nice seats for the price. You know what just the covers cost from the big 3 distributors,[of course made to fit Corvettes, all within $10 of each other,]but still and all, these were assembled, nicely fitted, same material as the basic Corvette replacement, already done! I'm sure some fa-neg-galing must be done to install them, but a cheap, easy short term fix for the average person. What do you think.........
I agree. We are spending way to much for seats. I don't have a show car or care to have one. Mine's a daily driver and has some worn out seats. Sure would like to get some better ones and not have to pay a $1000+ for them. That's 1/7 of what I paid for the car.
Oh well.....Corvette Tax for sure!

I think I got a little upset when I found out they want $1000 for a complete set of [two] door panels for my 84 ...........I heard that One person owns or controls all 3 companies..
