I purchased a 92 LT-1 Coupe with 46K in Jan. I am the third owner. It is in good shape and does not appear to have any mods done to it.

Not knowing what has or has not been done to it, I want to do some PM before I take it for any long drives.

I have done the following:

1) Replaced the shocks.
2) Replaced the air filter with a K&N
3) changed the oil/filter (used Mobil 1) and lubed it.
4) Rotated the tires
5) Flushed the radiator, replaced the thermostat and all radiator and heater hoses.

Next on the list:

6) New serpentine belt
7) Fuel Filter
8) PCV filter and valve

What else ............................

just to let you know...
PM here means Private Message.
I think you mean it as Preventitive Maintence(spelling is probally wrong)

you may want to do brake pads and brake fluid.

The serp belt is a double-sided rib belt and it's not that easy to find outside of a dealer or a shop that wil take the time and find the proper Gates belt.

The fuel filter dores not have a service replacement schedule but it's not expensive and not too hard to change if you can get the car off the ground a couple feet.

A brake fluid flush should be done. For daily driving, just use a good quality DOT3 fluid. Chances are the fluid is pretty dark. I wouldn't worry too much about pads unless the rotors have grooves or scoring. The front pads can be removed for inspection simply by removing the C-clip on the caliper pins.

I would also consider a tranny flush and a new filter if it's an A4. If it's a manual, the ZF fluid can be expensive. Suck out the old diff fluid and remember to add a couple bottles of the GM posi additive.

How did the tires look in terms of wear? Any inside or outside excess wear? Does the car track straing on a smooth level road? If not, find a good reputable shop with an experienced alignment guy and get an alignment done.
