Default The Wave

What is happening to the wave? I've owned my car for about three months now and out of all the Vettes in the area I think only three people have returned a wave, one of them a C3 and the other two C5's. Have all the real Vette owners been abducted by aliens? :blueangel:

They are probably just too busy looking at that beautiful GrandSport of yours, so don't take it personnal. same thing happens to me both in the Vette and on my Bike. :seeya

Definately don't take it personal...... I bought my car last December, and parked it until the end of March...... I really didn't know anything about the Wave until I got on this forum in June........ Someone just needs to educate these people...... Just keep waving....

I used to get "offended" when a corvette didn't return my wave. I've just decided to keep waving...not to get waves back...but to perhaps "educate" the ones that don't know....and to irritate the others. hehehehe :jester

I didn't know what the wave was until I joined the Forum, but that was before I got my Vette, I prob would've noticed people waving to me after a while lol.. I think most people wave around here for the most part, sometimes they just might be busy or won't see you. I remember a few weeks ago I was looking at a map when a (gasp!) C5 waved to me, and I almost didn't see him. Even on days where noone seems to be waving, I still keep goin :seeya

I have had very good luck with waves here in Mass. I think only one C-5 didn't wave. Heck, last week I got a big thumbs up from a Camero SS of all things

you'd think in Motown here, there would be more vettes waving back... but so far only one wave from an enthusiastic C3 since my start of vette ownership (less than a month).

don't let it get you down. just keep on waving and they'll eventually get it.

save the wave!

If I were you I would'nt worry too much about it. Your Grand Sport is the Most beautiful Corvette ever and is at the top of the food chain. Even higher than the statley C-5. So when you wave and dont get one back then the other guy is missing out on his big brothers salute. I for one would be proud and thankful that you waved to my lowly 1992 Vert. :jester :seeya

I would be willing to bet that most people driving have "tunnel vision", I mean they drive about twenty yards in front of them. So maybe they aren't ignoring you, but just do not see you. I can spot a Corvette down the highway miles away. That isjust because of my years of driving experience and of course looking for Corvettes.

Hey Cerby,
No Corvette is a lowly Vette. All Vette's rock! I can't think of one I don't like, oh I do know of one, that purple thing with the ugly rims. I think Danger Dave was looking into buying that one. You would get the "Wave" and a thumbs up. Thanks for all the comments back and keep on waving. Save the Wave!!

It is amazing how many people do not wave. It's almost to the point where I don't anymore.
