So whats the deal with all these so called easy to change & easy to program Power Programers... Such as the ones that Hypertech puts out. Are they worth the $$$$$$ And can a novice such as my self trully reprogram my 95 A4 in order to gain true Horse Power & Torq????
Any-one care to weigh in on this, I'm Alllllll Thanks
3 words P.O.S. It just changes the fuel/air mixture and turns the fans on sooner. Waste of money.
Umm actually changing the fuel/air mix is one of the GOOD things u WANT in a chip..
The Hypertech Power Programmer III is good for 3 tenths in a bone stock LT1. '94 and up only though as those are flashable. It can also adjust rear end gear changes, and fan temps, etc..
The earlier Hypertech chips are known to be a waste of money though.. no changes at alll other than fan temps.
You won't be happy. For the $$ these programers are VERY limited in what you can change because they are generic. My son bought one to use on his pickup and was not happy. I have arranged for him to see Tom Wong in Vancouver Washington to have a custom tune on his chip. I know that Tom will do it right and can change more than the three areas that these generic programers address.
Try SENERGY (not sure of the spelling) which I think is in the Fremont area. You will get more for the dollar spent.
