Default 96 LT4 Vent problems

Anyone ever replaced their dash vents programmer for a 96 with manual temperature controller? If so what was the cost? This is the module under the dash that directs the vacuum source to the proper diaphrams for actuating the dampers. When you turn on any HVAC, the air only comes out of the defrost and floor vents. Got a 94 service manual from a friend and did the troubleshooting. I have vacuum from the source into this module, but nothing will change with any button (manual controller) pushed on the dash. The A/C works fine, only the air will not come out of the front vents. Guess I really don't have to fix it, cuz you are suppose to ride around with the windows down and the top off, but it would be nice. The LT4 is awesome. Just got this car back in March, Black on Black and pretty much stock with the exception of SLP headers and a shorty shifter.

Was that $700.00 or $7.00, surely they would not want $700 for for some tubing and 4 solenoids? Thanks

I had to replace mine. I believe it was called the HVAC Control Module. It was an expensive part, I did get a deal on mine but it was still over a $700 fix. Seems lately I've been reading a lot about this problems with the 96's. Must be the 10 year itch.
