Default A/C fixed

Well the guy at nappa did it all for $254.
It's awesome and well worth it.
Blowin' cold.
I also had to adjust my driverside window to keep the rain/wind noise out.
No rain yet, but after about 20 or so tries, I finally got it really close.
I seriously have blisters on my hand from turning my socket screwdriver on the window bolts 5,000,000 times.
Then came putting back on the door panel....but before that I had a little mishap w/the door lock switch wires coming loose.
Good thing I can solder in mid air (the wires were attatched; and not much slack to work with. That was fun....
So does anyone else have trouble with their door panels going back on?
After all that, everything works and fits tight. Who knew?

Door panels? Screwed the damn things in from the top. Only thing that worked for me. Now of course the AC doesn't work.

Bubba, did you happen to get the conversion to the new type of freon or just charge up the old stuff.

New accumulator, oriface tube, oil, freon, o-rings, and he cleaned it all out.

I'm so jealous your A/C works. Just kidding. That's great news and it gives me hope that if I can get somebody to work on mine it will hopefully work too. I've read and read about the A/C and Heater system in these C4's and it will drive you to drink trying to figure it out especially if you don't have a clue about it in the first place.

Was your A/C not working at all or just barely blowing like mine.

Since you have been reading about it, I'm sure you have some clue what's involved in the a/c system.
I did the same thing: read about it and talked to a lot of people before I found this guy. He seemed honest and very knowledgeable.(he also seemd quite wise).
Just be prepared to pay about $70 dollars an hour just for labor (mine was $185 labor)
I don't think any C4 blows very hard. Mine was kinda working, then my buddy says he can convert it to r134a. So, he didn't do it right and a freebie job became expensive.
It would blow, but only hot air
