Without warning, the window on the driver's side of my 95 LT1 stopped going up and down. Thankfully, it is in the up position. The passenger's side window already had a problem. It would go up and down using the driver's switch, but only up using the passenger's switch.
I assume the the fuse (a large silver colored one) is okay since the passenger window will still go up and down using the the driver's switch.
Am I correct in assuming the switch on the driver's side is bad? And possibly the one on the passenger's side, too?
Is it a major job for a non-mechanically inclinded person to replace the switches?

There's a thermal fuse between the switches and the motor. If the motor is stiff or overloaded, the fuse heats up and disconnects, then resets when it cools.
If it was a sudden failure though, its probably the switch.
