Replacing Auto Shift ****
Before I attempt to try and figure out the steps, and break something, can someone please advise me of the correct steps for doing this.

Pop the cap off and use some snap ring pliers to get the ring off,and it comes right off. OR SO I AM TOLD, ive been through every set of snap rings I can find, and none of them will work right. Too fat. The nipples are too big.. etc etc.

Use a pair of quaters to pry off the button, use a pair of needle noise pliers to seperate the snap ring (enlarge the gap)...and a small flat head screw driver can be used to pop off the side of the ring. Just go slow and keep the pliers steady. Ive done this many times pretty simple
