Hello, thought I would say hello. I just joined the forum in anticipation of getting my first corvette next month.
About me. I live in the Pacific NW, town called Monroe in Washignton State. Have wanted a corvette since I was 7 but its taken me 40 years to realize the dream. I'm hoping to purchase my first next month.
WOuldn't you know it, right when I make the decision to do it, my neighbor comes home with a 1984 corvette pickup. Beautiful car.
Excuse me, welcome, and what the heck is this: "with a 1984 corvette pickup."?
Tony, really, is there a reason you set a time limit on buying your Corvette (next month) vs. finding a good one, the right one or one that you really love? I'm just asking. I mean, it's not like your buying your next meal (you gotta eat).
Unless, of course, you've had your eyes on THE perfect Vette and it comes available next month, or you get the dinero ready and the owner's willing to wait.
The reason next month is that is when I get the back pay owed to me from work. You see, I'm a very poor public servant and with 4 kids, my paycheck is never mine.
here's the neighbors car, hope this works.
Apparently a local guy spent 150K converting this 84 vette. He died and my neighbor got the car for some counter top work he did. I think he's going to sell it though.
Sitting right across the street from me. The car is located right on the corner of 154th ST SE and heintz Ave Se. Take 522 to Main street, go around the round a bout and west to Fryelands Blvd. Turn right onto Fryelands to first traffic light. Turn left at light and immediately look to the right, you'll see it.
I would like to get one that needs alittle TLC. Like to tinker and would be nice project to work on during the winter. Got my eye on a couple right now. I would like to restore one to show room stock.
