I live on the banks of the Susquehanna, and NOAA predicts the river here about 4' higher than '72. 9-12 inches rain east of here YESTERDAY, and it all flows this way. This is BAD up here!
This afternoon, the '85 was about 3 vertical feet from the river, and it would take a lot to reach it, but it is now on higher ground. Wish I could do the same with the house; there is now about 4 1/2 feet deep of river in the basement
Very sorry to hear this. That sounds truly ugly. Sure hope the damage isn't too severe.
According to today's Washington Post, my area received a foot of rain over the four-day period. And I believe it, cuz that's about how much water I pumped outta my mom's basement on Monday...

i agree i can't remember a year like this in Vermont . First year with the corvette to . Hopefully july will be a turning point for the weather
This weather has been terrible! I travel throughout the Northeast and there are a ton of roads closed. I guess its a good thing I have a boat! I may need it to get around
We had our 40 days and 40 nights in Seattle.......now we're b@#*hing about the heat wave...but it's supposed to get back into the high 70s low 80s again. great Vodka tonic weather.
