I had a glimpse of sunshine down here in NJ. Had the Vette out with the top off, but it will rain again tonight and tomorrow.
Look at it this way, its better than a drought watch.
I live in S Florida and it rains during hurricane season, form May to September. I am 25 miles from work and drive in the rain all the time.
Last year, I drove in the hurricane that hit us.
Guess what---Vetts are waterproof. 50 miles a day, seven days a week and 114000 miles on the clock.
We have been absolutely deluged in Maryland this week, with lots of flooding, mudslides, etc. We took almost as much rain (within a few hundredths of an inch) in one two-day period as we received during the record-setting rainfall that accompanied Hurricane Agnes in 1972.
After spending nearly all day on Monday pumping around a foot of water out of my mom's basement and dealing with related issues (sump pump, etc), I'm beginning to hate rain, too.
Thankfully, we're told that we've now weathered the worst of it, so things are looking up.
Hoping to roll the Vette out of the garage for Drive Your Corvette To Work Day on Friday.

Be well,

I live on the banks of the Susquehanna, and NOAA predicts the river here about 4' higher than '72. 9-12 inches rain east of here YESTERDAY, and it all flows this way. This is BAD up here!
This afternoon, the '85 was about 3 vertical feet from the river, and it would take a lot to reach it, but it is now on higher ground. Wish I could do the same with the house; there is now about 4 1/2 feet deep of river in the basement
Took mine in to the shop last week to have the AC fixed. While I was waiting for them to look it over the rain came, not just a little but a TON. Lucky for me they did not have parts for the Vette so they had to give me a ride home. The roads that had not been closed had 2 feet of water in spots I do not think the opti would have liked that much.

Depends on where you live, I was in the rouge valley OR for many years and Moses Lake WA after that and there is easily twice as much rain and 50 times the snow here in Ohio.

You guys don't get the kind of rain we got here this past week. Serious downpour along with the lightening. It looked like the end of days for a few days on end.
I don't mind the mist or a nice calming rain. But what we had was of hurricane proportions.

I agree. Here in R.I. we have had a terrible corvette cruise season so far. I am having an addition put on my house, and the contractor averages one day a week because of the weather. Come to think of it, maybe this has caused all the rainfall!! Everytime I buy a red sox ticket, it rains, and always has!!!
