Default ASR Problem Resolved

I just thought someone might not now this fix to an ASR problem. I searched the forum and didn't find this solution. My ASR lite would come on along with the check engine light. Turn the car off and it would go off and in a day or so the check engine light would go off. Then it would start all over. Checked brake fluid and sensors. Then noticed the left rear tire looked a little low. Checked it and it had 15 lbs. Started to the shop to pump it up and both lights came on. Set the pressure at 34 lbs lights went off and all is well. Drove 200 miles for a show with no problem. Talked with a technician who works for Porchse yesterday and he confirmed that low tire pressure would cause that sort of problem. Now that I think about it it makes sense. Hope this helps someone else.

Hmm.. it should not have anything to do with the ASR just because you have low pressure in a tire, unless the LTPS somehow sets it off.

If the ASR would be affected by low tire pressure, most of us racing and lowering tire pressures to 20lbs or so at the track would get the lights.. We don't..

The problem was 15 lbs in left rear and 34lbs in the other three. I suppose the sensors noticed the difference in the way they turned or something. Not sure, but the problem is gone. I think after a few days with no lights I might set the tire back to 15 and see what happens.
