It was Dark Red Metallic before and it looked too much like a Camaro color for me personally(no offense DRM guys ), so i had it painted torch red... and get this it only cost me $2200

the only thing i have left to do is order a set of leather seat covers and i may get a set of black zr1's

Looking good!

I have an 86 and I am going to paint it very soon. It looks like you painted the black molding red. Is that so? If you did, how did it turn out? Did they take the molding off of the car and then reattach it? Does it look like the paint will stay/not peel? Finally, what were your thoughts about changing it from black to red?

Mine is red and I have been debating about whether or not to piant the molding. Thanks!

Well the moulding was already painted when i got the car, so if the paint doesnt stick itll probably be the paint underneath that lets go

and the only reason i kept it painted is i think having the moulding painted doesnt date the car as much as the black strip does

Yeah, I agree about the dating issue. That's been the biggest debate with me. I actually like the look of the C4 with the black molding, but it does make it look like an older car. Thanks for your input. I still have no idea what I will do...

What about this before paint?
(for the dated look issue)

If I had your body style I would get Z06 wheels and lower it.
I love that look

thank You CJB but unfortunatly i can not reccomend the shop to anybody, due to the fact they had the car way longer than what the contract called for, and they damn near destroyed my door panels trying to remove them... but if you still want to know pm me...
