Window Tinting question
How much is reasonable to have the back window tinted? I've got quotes from $60.00 to $175.00. What are some of the best made tints out there too??? Comments are welcome... Thanks

I had the windows tinted on my 91 coupe one time. The back glass is a little difficult to work with. I think it cost me $130 for the doors and back glass. I'm thinking the back glass alone was $80.

its really a matter of "ya get what ya pay for". There are guys out there that will do the huge back glass as one piece, but it'll cost ya. The advantage is that there is no seam to peel. And don't let anyone tell you that it can't be done. Those are the lazy hacks that don't want to go through the effort of getting a bigger roll of tint and taking A LOT more time to get it installed right.
As far as the tint itself, last time i shopped for it, you want to look for something with a metal flake in it, not just dyed plastic. Metal flake (you can't see the flakes) reflects the sun better and won't fade over time...and its usually guaranteed for life.
Cost is really gonna depend on where you are...in Florida there is someone on every street corner doing tint, so it does keep the price down.

I just had mine done three weeks ago.
One piece on the back glass is the only way to go!
It cost me $145 for the two sides and the back glass.
It took all day long to get that back glass done. I would suggest
whoever you get to let them have the car for the day.
Good luck and it does make a real difference in the look of the car.
