Default Borla help needed...

Does anyone know where I might find a stock size 2.25" Borla Y pipe for an '88 or another supplier that makes the stock sized Y in 304 stainless?
Borla still makes the 2.25" inlet mufflers but they quit making the Y in that size.
They advised me to look on EBAY but that was no help.

Thanks!

I bought the 2 1/2 Y-pipe from Ecklers about 3 years ago. You might want to try them or Zip, Mid America, Corvette Central etc.

Thanks Wayne but I am looking for the 2.25" Y. The 2.5" Y is all that is available now and I have the 2.25" mufflers.

I would think that a good muffler shop could make you an adaptor.

Take your mufflers to a muffler shop and have them expand the inlets enough to accept the 2.5 pipe, not a problem at all.........
Have a Great Day!!!!!!!!

I have a pipe spreader.... Just not sure if you can stretch stainless that far without it splitting. Thats a good question for Borla!
Thanks!

Hmm, that IS a good question. A quarter inch in diameter, is an eighth of an inch on each "side" (all around). It might just be do-able, altho that seems like a lot. Maybe not tho. Tell us how/if it works!!!!!

I think I would go to a good shop and have it done by one of their power spreaders.....You would get a more uniform stretch and have less chance of splits.....The mufflers probably already have clamp indentations that need to be taken out also to slip over the pipes, but I think the 1/4 inch is a safe spread......Let us know.........
Have a Great Day!!!!!!!!

I sent the question to Borla. I'll let you know if I try it. Im thinking I might be better off to sell the mufflers and get another set with the Y pipe instead of risking splitting them.
I'm sure they could be repaired with a heliarc easy enough but what a pain....
