That could be true of almost anything. If I don't use my oil correctly and overfill, I could loose an engine. I really don't understand your logic but so be it.

I was going to post something long and rude, but instead I will just be rude and say that some people posting on here don't have any *****. I have safely used sea foam in my engine with no problems, and the vette runs better. The directions on the sea foam state that you can use it in your engine. So why not do it? I don't worry about ghost stories that can't even be proven about people who killed their engines by putting sea foam in with the oil.

Mabey I'm not being clear or mabey, just mabey my ***** arent as big as some or mabey it seems like some people arent understanding my point and are only seeing what they want to see. I'm going to say this one last time and you can take it however you want. When used correctly as with any product, the results can be great. When used incorectly, as with any other product, the effects can be devistating. I never said it should not be used by everyone. I'm saying it shouldnt be used by people who dont have a clue. After just checking, I feel my ***** should not be in question. So am I safe to assume that people who choose not to use it have small *********? For every success story Ive read there was another that reported noticing nothing. Then for every 3 that reported success 1 had a small or big issue after use.

Any fuel additive that is overused can can cause damage, however, Sea Foam is a petrolium based cleaner, hence, is much easier on your car than solvent based cleaners.
The best way to introduce Sea Foam directly into your intake, is through the power brake vacum line. DO NOT pour it directly into the vacum line, as you are taking a chance of liquid locking your engine. Use a very small hose, and let the vacum suck the Sea Foam out of the can. Make sure your engine is warm when you do it. Once the can is empty, and your engine smooths out, go out and drive the crap out of it. Be advised....your exhaust is going to smoke like a forest fire until you get the crud blown out of your engine, but it'll clear right up in just a few minutes. Your neighbors are going to swear that your house is on fire...it smokes that bad, so be prepared.

Hello
cmyc4go are you saying to disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster and insert a small hose into that hose?
Thanks in advance,

you can disconnect it, use a funnel and pour some seafoam into it.

All you gotta do is hold the brake booster line upright next to the open seafoam can (tilt it just a bit), the vacuum will automatically pull it up out of the can itself.....Dont just pour it in, a little at a time....let it slowly siphon in. Youll know by listening to the motor as its idling. TOo much too fast or holding the rpm up high and dumping the can in can hydrolock it. Try it, youll see.

I've been using SeaFoam for the past 18 years, in 3 boats, many cars including the vette. I don't add it to the oil, but that's just me. I put 1/2 in the tank and 1/2 through the brake booster vac. line, and I always keep my RPMs up around 1500-1800 while doing it. I think it's amazing stuff. As far as issues go..once it did mist the 02 and through a code, not to worry, it burnt off and after I cleared the code, it never showed again. I think anything overdone could be cause for concern, I've used it usually about once everyother year.As far as some guy suing for a spun bearing after using SeaFoam

Actually, the reason I keep the RPMs up..is to prevent hydro locking.

I put a can in the gas tank on my C5 and my flakey fuel guage was fixed. It used to stick at 1/2 tank and drop to nothing all at once. After one tank of fuel with the stuff in the problem is gone...I'm sold on the stuff.Still can't quite believe that the same stuff would do good in the oil though.

I sucked up a whole can through my PCV line on the driver's side. It works the same as the power brake booster line, just easier for me.

This stuff sounds so amazing that I might just drink a can myself! What do think would be best to mix it with? I'm thinking cranberry juice....

so how does it go in? Disconnect the brake boster line and just pour a little in at a time with the engine running? Do you have to rev it while you do it? Should I put it all in through the intake and some in the gas? Is it supposed to smoke like the white vette in those pics?
