Default Interesting Electrical Problem

I'm currently rebulilding a 89 Vert. that I have had to completely gut the interior and reinstall. I had the car running with no problems before and during the reinstallation of the interior. Yesterday, while working on the car I went to reconnect the battery (I disconnect every day after I work on the car) and my heater motor was blowing on high, the guages are all lit up, and the abs is cycling. This is all happening WITHOUT the key in the ignition. I can start the car with no problems (with the key), but the car will stay running without the key in the igniton.

The first thing I thought was faulty ignition on the steering colum. I removed the 2 (black and blue) molex connectors from the colum and the car still has the same issues (heater, guages and abs working). How the H3ll is that even posssible??

Anyone with suggestions, or answers please respond.

After reinstalling removed parts I have sometimes seen similar things occur, if a wire is pinched it may take a day or so for the insulation to fail then the problem shows up. Try to remember the last thing installed before the "haunted" behavior and start looking there, good luck.
